CatholicCare Victoria Supervision Scholarship

"CatholicCare Victoria Tasmania Limited is pleased to advise that we have received funding from the Australian Government through the Addressing Critical Psychologist Shortages - Supporting Provisional Psychologists to Practice grant. This funding will support us to deliver supervisor training places over the next 3 years."

CatholicCare Victoria has partnered with Provisional Psychologist Hub to offer an exciting opportunity for a select group of provisional psychologists planning to undertake the 5+1 Internship Program. As part of this initiative, recipients will receive 12 months of board-approved supervision services through a Provisional Psychologist Hub Platinum membership, valued at over $18,500.

The CatholicCare Victoria Supervision Scholarship program will endeavour to prioritise applicants from First Nations and, culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD) and individuals from underserved regions across Victoria (MMM3-7).

In addition to supporting applications from these priority cohorts, Supervision Scholarships will be prioritised to service delivery settings where the need is greatest, including regional, rural, and remote areas, community mental health service and child and youth services.

This supervision scholarship is a CatholicCare Victoria initiative with services delivered in partnership with Provisional Psychologist Hub.

  • When do applications close?

There are 28 places available this year (2024) based on the selection criteria and priority cohort focus. We are accepting applications for those commencing from May 1, 2024. Once the first 28 supervision scholarships have been placed the first round will close and we will start to take applications for the following year (2025).

  • I don’t reside in Victoria; can I still apply?

CCV is permitted to offer supervision scholarships within Victoria and Tasmania only. If you reside in or have a work role that extends to these states, we encourage you to apply.
